From the street, an a-frame will hover over a pine forest. Behind it, the boxy exteriors of 21 townhomes belie a variety of multi-story interiors within. At the far end of the project's long, narrow site, a stack of a-frames and boxes will form courtyards, decks, and rooms of different sizes and shapes.
